  1. Sonny Wang, Student Advocate and Support Specialist, conducts a multicultural group at VandenBerge Middle School throughout the school year. This group is open to all students who would like to learn more about the diversity issues that students face and to celebrate the differences among our student population. If your child is interested in participating in this group, please contact Sonny Wang at hai.wang@isd728.org

  2. Targeted Services: Elk River Area Learning Center has arranged a Targeted Services extended-day program to be offered at VandenBerge Middle School. This program serves students in 6th through 8th grade. The extended-day program involves the whole child with an emphasis on math, reading, and personal skill development. Students must meet the certain eligibility criteria in order to participate in Targeted Services. If you are interested in having your child participate in this academic support program, please contact the counseling office to see if they meet the eligibility criteria. This program begins in early February and ends in late April.
